New Bing Version for Windows Phone
 

Has anyone else been able to get the new bing version 5 to install on the Imagio? Bing say's it will install on any windows mobile phone, but that seems to not be the case.

Yeah, which one? The autoupdate takes me to a screen that states it can't determine which phone I have and when I d/l the 6.1/6.5 version on install it fails as states phone not supported. Hm.......

There is a specific list of devices that this will install on; it's a limited rollout at this point. There will be a new version in few weeks, that will work on VZW phones, a little bird tells me...

Seriously, that' stupid, and one reason people don't like M$. I mean, they created 6.5 AND Bing. Call it a Beta or a limited rollout. M$ product managers don't always "think like the customer."

Wasn't the release of the Imagio a big deal since it was the first 6.5 "Windows Phone" to hit the market? I Bing, a M$ cornerstone doesn't even work in its latest version?

More business lost to Google (who of course have their own maps issues)

I just tried the update and no luck either, I also have the Imagio with Verizon any ideas?

Actually, you can thank Verizon for this specifc situation, if I understand the situation correctly. I don't think this works on ANY Verizon phone right now...
