Bunch of errors after restarting phone. Please help.

So I turned off my phone and restarted it again and when I slide down the lock screen I get all these pop ups of;The process android.process____ has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. I get that from like phone, Google Maps and all that. My phone doesn't even connect to the network. What happened? :(

Are you using apps2sd? If so your memory card probably got dislodged which breaks things. Or possibly you are using ext2 instead of ext3 which can cause file corruption.

Or you did something you weren't supposed to? Heh. You do have a nandroid backup to restore to, right?

No I haven't done anything to my phone, no rooting or any of that? I don't understand what happened.

I just checked About Phone and Baseband Version says Unknown. Wtf?

I think that maintenance update might of messed it up.

Yea if you aren't rooted or anything then something else is going on with the phone. Have you gotten all of your apps from the market place? There are viruses out there for android...

Yeah, I've gotten all my apps from the market place. Ugh what's wrong, I think I'm like the first one this has happened too. I don't wanna reset my whole phone and lose everything dammit. The one reason I hate these type of OS compared to a simple phone.

Awe man I didn't want to do that and I might mess it up even more:/ You think there could be an App that's causing this problem?

EDIT:

My phone is back alive! Yay. :]] After turning it off and on many times I finally received a text message so I knew everything was back to normal, I was scared there for a moment.

If you have more than 100 apps you will get this problem.

This is the same issue I had. If you aren't rooted and running the Hero fully stock, after a certain number of Apps, the phone goes crazy after a soft-reset. Everything crashes, hence the pop-ups, and you have no service. Just uninstall the last few apps and soft reset again and everything should be back to normal.

I think the number of apps varies, I'm at about 97-98 apps and ran into this problem, but it seems to be only with some apps and not others. So it's all over the place, but if it happens, uninstall, soft reset and you are good to go.

Hope that helps.

I'm not even close to having 100 apps though is the thing. I had a feeling it had something to do with an app I installed so I uninstalled it. When turning the phone back on, everything came back to normal so I knew it was probably that app which I installed messed everything up. This is another issue they need to fix. I was about to perform a hard reset, but I didn't want to give up and just lose everything which is why I took about an hour to figure it out.

Wirelessly posted (HTC Hero: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 1.5; en-us; A6277 Build/CUPCAKE) AppleWebKit/528.5+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.2 Mobile Safari/525.20.1)

The app number varies, some phones can't go over 70, some can't breach 100.
