Rooting in XP
 
I for the life of me can't get this to work, it won't install the drivers for the phone after I DL and install andriod SDK, and won't install adb correctly... I'm at witts end.... WFT seriously this shouldn't be this hard.....

n/m it's apparently something wrong with that computer, I got the root done with my netbook....:angry7:

I was gonna say, i've never used anything except for xp.

I am having the same issue on my laptop which is using Vista..... I also tried on my desktop which has XP.... I DL'ed the SDK but will not find the drivers

I assume you have USB debugging enabled on the phone?

Ive tried both with it on and off.... my computer just does not see the phone

Ok if u r having driver issues athlet1c has posted a video for easier rooting. Look n my Sig at the tips n tricks link and see easier rooting method.
