BEST BUY wrote that the htc hero is able to be activated with a 30$ data add on
 

I went to best buy the other day and the piece of paper that shows all the info for the hero said it is allowed to be activated on a data add on.
For those of you who don't need the everything data plan.

ya sprint will never do it. i have been to that road already. they say to much data and ther system wont apply it to the phone.

The data add-on on top of the phone plan that you decide to get. I dont get what this post is about. Maybe I dont get what your trying to say here. They have a rate plan of 200 minutes for 29.99 but does not include data. So you add the data plan at $30. But you might as well get the everything data plan

Its either a Typo on BB side that sprint wont honor or sprint has a 30.00 data Add 0n plan which means it will be additional to your account .that sounds tricky to me.Has any one applied at that location ?

as far as i was told the add on for the pre, hero moment or any phone like this does not exist any more. the add ons are for win moble and black berry. you have to get the everything plan for individ or the 129 fam share. coming from cs at sprint. but if you do the math its not worth just adding, the everything plans have it all. just wish the droid would be yellow and black instead of big red. i hate red!

The $30 aadd on is true. I called retentions on Friday to discuss what can be done w/ my F&F 1250 to get a hero. She said I could add a $30 data plan and then i'd be able to get it. I said no. I already have unlimited data and $30 seems rather steep.

The $30 addon is known as the pro pack. I switched off my everything family plan (130 a mo) and added it to my regular plan ($100 a mo)
worth it for me..

Wow...that would be an awsome deal if you didnt text AT ALL but its a good find, didnt take long for them to curve on the hero did it?

wait. so i have a 3 line family plane i added data to my line and not the others. and they told me no go. i am missing something here.

i called today to complain about my diamond crashing i wanted to trade it for a pre hero or moment. i got 20 off for the next 2 years only. not to bad but we will see.
