I have a Hero through Cellular South who just starter carrying them last week. I had Flightstats on my Winmo TP so I looked for it in the market. Not there.

Went to Flightstats.com and voila, they have a droid version...quick scan of the barcode and then...dramatic pause here...error message saying app not found in market.

What gives? Can I get it any other way? Is it my carrier? Many thanks...

It has to be your carrier I have sprint and it is in my app store

Try googling for the app name + .apk when the store doesn't produce.

LOL sometimes it can be either the app developer or carrier, it depends.

How do you put .apk files onto the phone?

Copy to as card. Download astro file manager. Navigate to apk file and pick it. Choose app manager and install.
