Stop gtalk notifications while using online gtalk client
 

Does anyone know if there is a way to stop Gtalk (or Gchat whatever its called) notifications from coming to your phone while your on gmail using gtalk?

I feel like it should automatically recognize that I'm online and stop sending the notifications to my phone until i log off, at which point the mobile notifications should resume. It seems like it does this sometimes but most of the time it does not.
