why custom roms?
i know why. i was looking to have a device i didnt have to flash. i thought android was going to be the one. i flashed my diamond for the bat life and a few other things but the whole app store deal i thought was supposed to let user's customize at will. i would probably run it stock.

Re: why custom roms?
Well while the Hero is majorly customizable with a stock rom us geeks always want more.. its never enough! Custom roms almost always perform faster then stock roms and it just gives us more to tinker with. I was going to root and flash anyways but one of the reasons that made me want to do it even more is to have the ability to save apps to the sd card.
I think it comes down to just being a geek.. I mean if there wasnt any custom roms what would we do with our phones? Talk on them?? haha NOT! :) |
Re: why custom roms?
People just like to flash to have that new-rom-smell lol. Coming from winmo, who can blame them? Personally i wont bother flashing since my hero is top notch atm and i will only flash for 2.0. so im good for now.
