Can't wait. I agree with the comments in the thread I'd definitely take a nice patch until 2.0 and I bet that Droid and even the Moment lit a fire under HTCs ***. Yeah the Hero's better but not precievably by much over the Moment, based on the potential of the software. So its time to demonstrate some of that potential with some software improvements. I too look forward to a smooth experience on the stock sms app, because HandcentSMS is cool but a little too laggy and buggy to me; actually the OS as whole is up and down.

All said I hope Sprint doesn't F around and drag there feet with this. I want that update!

GIMMIE....GIMMIE...GIMMIE!!!! I feel the same way about the messaging app. I prefer the stock hero messaging app over the handcent. But I also prefer my hero getting some sleep.

They're probably going to take a few more weeks. Would be better if it came out sooner of course.

Let Sprint have this as long as they need to, to ensure everything is bug free. I don't want them to half-arse anything, and then my phone has all kinds of issues.

Watching software being made is like watching Sausage being made. You don't want to. Let them QA it correctly :)

I want ETA darn it! sigh... but like you guys said earlier, I rather wait and let them perfect it instead of rushing and letting it bite me on my arse..
