Automatic Soft Resets....by design?????
 

Hey guys,

I have had this happen twice (at least that I know of) where the phone will soft reset itself. I believe both times were on the charger. Is this by design, so that the phone could purge its cache (or another reason) or is this a bug/faulty device? Both times that I am aware this happened, I believe it had a pretty significant uptime (maybe 40+ hours). Just curious to see if anyone else has seen this.

Don't get me wrong, my Touch used to reset itself all the time after working itself into knots, so maybe that is what's happening...not really a faulty device or bug, just the OS getting itself all worked up and resetting. Just throwing ideas out there....can anyone provide an answer?

not sure mine is currently showing 47+ hour up time. Before I reset a couple of days ago I was at 80+ hours of up time, no soft resets for me unless I did it

I currently have 115 hours of up time. The only time the phone soft reset itself was during the initial setup of the phone.

I have had it soft reset itself once. I don't know why or how long it was up.

Not had this happen yet. I'll keep an eye out, though.
