hero storage

I am deciding between the TP 2 and the Hero. I know that there is no kitchen out for the hero yet. I was wondering is all of the crapware that sprint packs into the WM phones there on the Hero as well? If so, can it be uninstalled easily?

Crapware included, not uninstallable until the Hero is rooted. Which we are hoping is very soon!

Sadly the hero does come with crapware, but unlike my diamond, it doesnt effect the performance, you can delete the widgets and its like it was never there anyway. Once its rooted im sure you can delete it and not have to worry about it. The hero has a few bugs but so far its ben pretty nice. It realy depends on what you prefer. The hero really doesnt have much lag, but the TP2 has such a massive screen....IMO...get the hero, its buggy but fixable, sprint will take care of us :P

I have grown frustrated with the WinMo phones. I need the ability to sync with outlook primarily. Other than that, I can make do with whatever the phone is. I was looking at the the TP2 and I am really leaning hard towards the Hero right now.

You can sync with the Hero to your Outlook contacts and calendar, using HTC sync software you can DL on HTC's site. PDAnet (for tethering) is NOT compatible with HTC sync, so for now, it's one or the other.! peace-br

Sorry if this has already been discussed I'm just now debating between the Hero and TP2 myself, but I read somewhere on the net that using the HTC Sync software would allow you to tether. Is this not that case?

In fact here's what I was reading about it

http://blog.brightpointuk.co.uk/usin...hero-usb-modem

No mention whether it was a Sprint Hero or not though.

My big concerns are tethering, ebooks, and GPS which I use my TP for a lot.

By rooted do you mean something similar to the way the winmo phones are unlocked so they can be customized?

Mobile Network Sharing is grayed out on my Sprint Hero.

I know this is off topic but it is one last question that I have about the hero. Other than the sms bug, how is it on battery life? If this bug was fixed how would the battery performance be? On the TP it is horrible.

Much better than the TP. I have mine on all time push and I always get better than 12 hours with heavy usage.
