I got a problem with my homescreen icon for handcent sms app. It's just shows it as a grey X on my homescreen. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it would come back fine, but when I power off and power on the phone it goes back to the Grey X. How do I fix this.

Same here. The widget shows up fine for me. But the shortcut in the app tray is just that Grey X

I had this problem. Uninstall reinstall and soft reset by powering down, not removing battery. Fixed mine!

There was a new update today. The grey X hasn't popped up, yet..

I've got the grey x too now that i updated. I uninstalled & reinstalled then powered it off but its still there.

Same problem here! I went to chomp just because of this. Chomp isnt too bad either but handcent is MUCH better. I just dont like that "x" problem
