thanks for the feedback. i deleted the account, reset the device and then setup the account again. it seems to be working now. i dont know if i did something during the day to mess up a setting or if something is different with yahoo. hopefully it stays working.

bump, has anyone else had an issue with yahoo mail?? One of my outside sales reps has a customer that the yahoo wont work. Only way to get it is to go to the website in the browser.

I had that problem, I deleted astro app and it worked fine after that, that may not help you but it did for me i was at a boiling point but as soon as I deleted it and went to yahoo and refreshed it worked.

Re: yahoo email connection problem

There seems to be an issue with accessing Yahoo when you're connected via WiFi versus over the Sprint network. Yahoo seems to be wanting to avoid you accessing your pop mail if you don't have one of their paid accounts (which is cr*p if you ask me since there are an abundance of free alternative email services out there... think like what happened when AOL pulled this too).

What's really weird is that I had Yahoo mail on my BB before I got a Hero and there were no issues at all. Only when I got the Hero and hooked up to the WiFi. When I turn off WiFi, it works again - only after a little while though.

I've been having this issue off & on as well. It seems to do it in the morning if i've had my hero powered off. It did it this morning when i powered it on, so i turned airplane mode on for a few seconds & then turned off airplane mode & its been workin fine all day. I'd like someone else to try this & see if it works. I think something is happening when the device is powered on after having been off.

I know I'm late to the game but I was getting a network error and after I did what you did (switch to airplane mode and back) I havn't had any problems yet.
