GPS is WAAYY off

Picked up my android sunday. when i was messing w/ google maps i saw it had me pegged about a good 2 miles from my actual location. figured no biggie i would look into it later. today im noticing it has me off by a lot. like 5 or 6 miles. And its throwing off my GPS related apps like locale and layer. anybody else notice this issue or find a way to fix it? My diamond and Mogul were never this bad. in fact the diamond was pretty spot on.

i figured it out yesterday, you actually have to turn the gps on in the settings... once u do that, gps should be right on point.. i wondered that problem at first too, but now its all good.... try that...

Is you have QuickGPS application on your device, open it and click on download that might fix that problem.

In settings -> Location i have "use wireless networks", "location settings", and Enable GPS Satellites" all selected, but it doesnt seem to help.

I dont have the quickGPS app on the phone, and i dont find it in the app store :(

err...well this may have been enviromental. when i stepped outside my building it picked me up right away. I guess indoors its going by the cell tower location. Its a bit of a relief but kinda sucks for locale because as soon as i walk in my building at work it thinks i jumped 5 miles away and turns it back to loud. oh well

Settings --> Location --> Enable GPS satellites will fix the issue. As mentioned in the second post.

EDIT: I didn't see your second post. You are not getting a lock. Are you outside? The third post may have useful info but I didn't know that they had quick gps for android. I will definitely be looking into this!
