I'm pretty sure you could take it out.. and dye it with Rit Dye... I've done it on blackberry trackballs before.. and they feel like they have the same sort of material but im not sure..

just heat up some water(enough to steam but not boil)...
pour the rit dye ( i use liquid) into a ziploc bag..
put the ball in the zip lock bag.. close the zip lock bag trying to get out extra air..
dip the ziplock bag (containing rit dye and trackball) into the hot water..
agitate the bag.. i just kept dipping the bag in and out of the water.. keeping the majority of the bag in the water the whole time..
dont do it too long or ball will get very dark..
when ur done just take the ball out rinse with cold water and rub off excess dye...

sure there may be an easier method.. this is jsut how i used to do blackberry trackballs a long time ago...

would these work on my hero as well? what should i be looking for to kno if the theme is compatible to my fresh-cdma-hero-2.0b2.zip rom? Thanks

Yeah im not sure if there is a safe way to dye the ball while its in the phone?? but taking the ball out you do have to disassemble the phone.. which is actually pretty easy on this phone.. 4 screws to get the back off.. than 2 screws holding the board down.. and i think 2 cables that pop off the board pretty easy.. than u lift the board and the ball comes right out. :)

The themes that I posted recently is for flips or damages Rom.

hey Chubbz,

Again All the work is awesome..... I did have some issues with the latest themes, I flashed the complete and your theme but do not get the same background as yours in the pic (sliver with the android guy hanging on). I do however get the taskbar and bottom not sure if the background is in the zip or i get this from somewhere els really like the look.
