I Know there are threads here from a year or so ago when people dumped the Hero to go with the EVO or Samsug or whatever. This is another one. I got my Hero a year ago this month. I'm moving on to the EVO 3D. I learned a lot from here and at xda about Android. I personally liked the design, color and everything. I put it in an Otterbox, and lose all that. Oh well. I think that it's kind of funny, it's starting to act up, almost as if it knows it is soon to be retired.

I feel ya buddy. I'm leaving my HeroC for an EVO 3D. Just got home from the Sprint store to put me on the list. I'll be up in there first thing Friday morning the 24th to get my new toy.

the hero died when all the devs left it for the evo 4g. i gave up on mine last october. im holding onto my evo until the 3d gets unlocked or the galaxy s 2 comes to sprint.

the hero life cycle was cut very short IMO. i also believe the same fate will happen with the evo 4g when the 3d drops this month. just the way it goes now. heck look at the tmobile g2 already in it's end of life cycle, that's crazy IMO since it's like a year old only, if that. tech is really moving fast now a days, if you turn your back you will be majorly outdated.

Yep, that's why I'm making the jump. I feel like the Hero was outdated the day I got it. 2.2 never officially got there, and CM was not the answer for me.
