Need Help
 

wasup guys, the problem im having is that i was trying to go back to stock on my hero, and was using the RUU 2.1, well that didnt work and now I am not able to get into bootloader at all. I've tried everything and it either freezes on the HTC screen or it just shuts off, does anybody have any ideas how i can go back to stock or get into bootloader?

Well a few questions
With the phone powered on
Does the PC detect the Hero when plugged in?
Is the battery fully charged?
How are you trying to goto bootloader? PWR+Home or PWR+Vol Dwn?

yes the pc does detect when i do plug it in, i am on the cyanogenmod rom right now.

The battery is fully charged.

i've tried all those plus volume down, track ball, and power, i can get into bootloader but i cant do anything else from there, if i try to go to recovery it just turns off or just freezes on the HTC screen at start up

Sound like you may have a problem with the recovery.img. I would suggest flashing a shipped RUU, reroot install clockworks recovery and go from there.

where would i get a shipped RUU? i already have the recent 2.3165 RUU, but i run into the same problem where it freezes when trying to get into boot loader.

also is there another way i can get the recovery img? and fix it that way
