2.31.651.7-Rooted?

I installed the linked official sprint RUU of 2.31.651.7, it actually only installed 2.31.651.6 then the OTA offered 2.31.651.7... I didn't take it..

The universal root apk rooted 2.31.651.6 without an issue.

I tried it and it failed to install. So I might try that ROM, but I was also thinkin the 710 OC kernel. I'm pretty new to this supercharging something with no pistons so I'm gathering Intel and figuring how to flash ROMs and stuff. I think I understand that only certain kernels will work with certain ROMs.

Yeah... im going to need some n00b help too. im a windows phone guy. and although i run droid on my htc diamond500 i feel that the hero that im picking up tomorrow is going to have to be tampered with.

I like the comment about supercharging things with out pistons LOL if i wasnt a professional geek i would totally agree with you. i have a blown car as well..... different worlds, same idea, FASTER and BETTER!

I'm pretty sure the Liquid rom comes with an overclocked kernel. Just need to use setcpu. It is indeed a very snappy and stable ROM

Sorry its been a hectik month. Did some Intel and went with the stable LiquidSense 2.1, all i can say is Awsome! Works great just reinstalled VVM and SprintNAV. Very quick and reliable. Just today I added the new Radio Update from TheImpaler on XDA and it fixed my signal jump issue, rock solid now. After a year I have found new value in my Hero and enjoy it again, was starting to hate it, not now. WiFi Tether is where its at too!

Great! Congrats on taking the plunge! lol..If you want wired tether to work you'll need to uninstall the cooked in app and reinstall the wired apk..Liquid did say he'll be updating soon and this should be fixed in the new release however..

Mine works, i just uninstalled it using app manager on phone and reinstalled it from the zipped folder using my HTC sync and all is good.
