sprint hero flashed to metro pcs but no mms
 

i have a sprint hero and i flashed it to metro pcs but the mms dont work at all and i want to know if someone have mms working on their hero

I was considering maybe going to Metro PCS myself. I talked to one of the employee's who said if they flashed my hero I would not be able to get mms, internet, and a few other things. Major deal breaker to me. I'm not sure if there is a hack to get around it.

i went to 4 dealers and they could even flash it to talk/sms so i went to craigslist and looked for a dealer that flash android phones to metro and i found one call him and he confirmed it the problem was that you have to pay 80 bucks for everything and it worked even the market but for some reason mms didnt work so i took it back and he said he have to redo the flash so he was asking for 40 more and i didnt have the money so im trying to do it myself

Yeah I just saw an ad on craigslist, for people who had flashed their android phones, that he would fix the mms and internet problem for $10. So, apparently their is some kind of flashing process you could probably find yourself either here on this board or around the internet and fix it yourself. If I come across it, I'll post it for ya.

Also, I wanted to make sure that your aware Metro PCS doesn't even have 3G. So it'll be slow going internet wise. :neutral:

i fixed my internet wit the proxy settings and the mms still no go

Not sure if this will solve your problem at all, but have you downloaded handcent SMS from the market to see if that works? I personally think it's a better application for SMS/MMS then the default anyways.

did it and it gave me a 67 error so i switched everything like it was before

i stoped getting internet on my htc diamond on the metro network, just found out metro changed their password, its no longer "metropcs" go to whiterabbits.org/android use your phone MEID/ESN to get the password

now mms, ive looked all around because my phones mms stoped working too, it seems when metro changed the "metropcs" password and since they on the process of changing to 4g network something has changed that makes alot of flashed phones like ours in all different states mms and or internet stop working.

so right now its not your phone i think, its just metropcs...suck i know :(
