evdo mode only?
 

I'm not sure if I posted this before... but anyways thought I'd make a new thread. I understand that in android 1.5 you could set the phone to evdo mode only but on new 2.1 ROM's you can't... well I haven't figured out a way.

If you know a way to, please do post as I hate being on 1.5 ROM to make my tethering undisturbed by annoying texts from friends lol :D

Well its gotta switch to 1x for texts and calls. so not sure if u want to do evdo only, as u might miss calls and texts. correct?

I don't care about that during my tether moments to be honest :) When i tether = me time :D forget everyone else haha... use to do this with my tp1.

provided you are using an htc sense rom, ##data# > edit > and it should be in there.


EDIT: I think. I could be crazy wrong.

Thanks for the that, i tried and now I'm just trying to figure out what mode to put it in? in that menu there is preferred mode which has HDR MODE, digital mode, CDMA mode, automatic mode.. there is also DDTM mode which has disable and enable.

I'm pretty sure it is some arbitrary other setting that you change the value of to "0". Sorry i can't remember. It's been quite a while since i've used it.

Yeah. I'm using an AOSP rom right now, so i can't check the ## codes.

ahhh okay, thanks! if you can remember them let me know, I've googled most things i can think of.. no luck yet :-(
