Clearing Google Search?
 

How do you clear the entries that have been typed into the drop down google search menu that is displayed when you are using the browser and press the spyglass, I have tried clearing cache in several areas, and done everything I can think of. I am sure it is easier than it a appears, please help if you can, thanks.

Well, actually I already have it, and I have cleared everything it allows me to and it still doesn't clear it.

history Eraser will clear the Market search history.

To clear Google search History from the Browser, open the Browser and tap Menu, Then tap More, then tap History, Then press the Menu button again and tap Clear History.

What remains there will be Bookmarks....

What didn't work? Could you be more specific as to what you want to remove and where it is.....

Do you want to remove search history from the Browser or Bookmarks?

This didn't work. It just clears the websites visited. If you open your browser and then press the spyglass button, a search box appears, and along with it, directly.below, is a list of all the searches I have ever typed into that box. This is what I am trying to clear.

Yes, when I type in a search word or words into the search box, it takes me to a web site.

I can clear this on my Hero, I don't know why you can't do this on your Hero....

i just read the thread, racked my brain, figured it out, then made an account on this site to tell you


step 1- touch spyglass

step 2-touch menu button 2 to the left of the spyglass

step 3-tap search settings

step 4-tap searchable items

step 5-first on the list uncheck the web

step 6- pay me ;)


note-it doesnt delete them but it gets rid of the list
