Hero to Evo?

Ok, now that we have an EVO release date, who is going to sell their Hero and get an EVO?

I am very tempted but I'm not eligible for an upgrade until next year. :(

I may have to search the house to see what I can sell.

In the meantime, now that we have an EVO release date, maybe 2.1 will drop for the Hero tomorrow, even though I am already running 2.1 I would like to check out the official release for a bit.

My Hero is as good as gone! I don't even care about that update any more. I'm upgrading to Snapdragon greatness! Anyone looking for a Hero?

I'm sticking with my Hero because I am cheap. It does 80% of what I want it to, that is a big step up from the 50% of my old Mogul.

I wont get one...atleast for a while
My opinions
Quote:

IF I upgrade, it'd be to the N1. The EVO and these extra charges make me laugh.

$430....nohttp://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/mad.gif.... (don't have an upgrade)
and extra $10 a month...ever(even if I'm in a 4G area)....nohttp://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/mad.gif....

3G has me plenty happy, as long as they don't artificially bog it down to promote 4G when it comes out I'm in no rush to spend more money a month. 3G tethering has proven to me that with a stronger phone, 3G is plenty nice for my needs. Running firefox on my laptop while tethered is plenty peppy. You can't go torrent happy on 3G but it still is respectable if you want something and you start it before you fall asleep.

I like my Hero and hopefully it'll get 2.1 and 2.2 in the future or perhaps I'd up to the N1 (which should be more affordable)

I'm on Sprint to have a fairly cheap plan $77 a month (with tax/BS charges).
I wish I got on Sero while I had the chance back with my TP but I digress

I'm all over the Evo when it comes out. I'm gonna cancel my air card, cause why pay $59.99 when the phone can be used as a mobile hot spot for $29.99. Plus the bigger screen & 1 gig processor. I'm a premier customer & I'm eligible for my upgrade June 1st. Love my Hero, but I upgrade to the newest toy every year.

Retail = $450...how is that "a ton". Off eBay I paid $330 for my TP2 new and $290 or so for my Hero new...I'd say $450 retail is pretty cheap for that phone.

People planning on eBaying their used Hero...good luck. There's been a heavy increase in the quantity available which means you'll be lucky to get near $200 for it. I'll keep mine as a backup before getting rid of it for less than $200.

I'll get the EVO when it's updated to Froyo, and not sooner.
