MMS disapointing news.
 

Just talked to my local Corperate store and they told me that the patch for MMS that was suppose to come out a month ago is now not going to be released at all and that 2.1 " Should fix the problem " when it comes out. This is getting old watching them chase thier own tail. Who knows if it will even work then, this cool phone kinda fell short and everybody else has 2.1 on new phones and Sprint is still dragging thier sack in the dirt...DISSAPOINTING TO SAY THE LEAST.

Well, anyone thats ever owned a smartphone, on the Sprint Network, coulda told you this a looooong tiiiiime ago. I think it's in they're business model, not to release updates for current phones, until they release pricing and release dates for upcoming phones. So I can almost guarantee, that the update, will come out around the same time, we find out what the price/release date of the Evo is. Just my $.02

I don't have any MMS issues on my rooted Hero running Fresh 2.0d and using Handcent SMS. Might be time to try something new with your Hero...

Just root it and flash a new ROM... worked for me.

Ive never had a problem with mms at all. running diff roms. with stock htc message app, handcent sms.....

In my family we have a total of three of us using a CDMA hero, and to my surprise mine is the only one that had the MMS problem. Stupid phone. now im running an non-OEM ROM and have no problems.

Dude, mine is totally stock an I have never had any issues with my MMS....Ive been using Handcent the whole time an have no complaints whatsoever :)

the stock rom does have mms problems but the 2.1 roms or handcent will fix the mms problem.

What phone came stock with 1.5 and is running 2.1? How is the Hero behind? The Nexus 1, Droid, and Incredible run 2.1 but that's all I know of?
