SD Card Partitions

Ok so we don't have a bunch of messing threads and random posters, let's make a list of the best SD Card Partitions for each size SD Card.

1 GB = ?

2 GB = 512 MB EXT 3, 0 or 32 MB SWAP, Rest to FAT32

4 GB = 512 MB EXT 3, 0 or 32 MB SWAP, Rest to FAT32

8 GB = 512 MB EXT 3, 0 or 32 MB SWAP, Rest to FAT32

16 GB = 512 MB EXT 3, 0 or 32 MB SWAP, Rest to FAT32

32 GB = 512 MB EXT 3, 0 or 32 MB SWAP, Rest to FAT32

Please everyone post their recommendations! Personally I have a 2 GB and 4 GB and would like to know a good partitioning for each of them for a rooted Hero.

You need 512 EXT 3. I have 1GB but no idea why because it is unnecessary. Swap should be 0 or 32. I run 0 because I don't want my card to take a dump on me soon. Rest is for everything else.

I'm still not entirely sure what the swap partition is for.

I heard it makes things faster (I guess subsidizes the SD with internal for system memory) but it puts more wear on the sd card. Not like a2sd, but probably more of the "working memory" expansion
