Stick with 2.0d. When in doubt download a fresh rom, they are virtually bugless after release.

Just rooted my hero not to long ago (>24 hours lol), and I went to Fresh for my first ROM, I really like it, but I've never tried any of the roms out there lol, all I know is that Fresh is quick, easy, bugless, and battery was great for me, so I'm prolly sticking with it, unless there could be something better to suit my needs after doing ample research of course

I have been using the ROM from Damageless, which he aquired from a direct leak of the upcoming update. Very close to the leaked RUU with some tweaks. I just flashed the 2.0.7.2 today. This is probably the closest you will get to the official update.

it depends on if you want to be like most others and run an early version of 2.1. myself and a few others prefer 1.5 still because of speed & stability. i would recommend pancake 1.5c without sense that is on xda. it is by far the best, fastest and most stable rom ive used to date. ill switch to 2.1 when it goes final and the devs get ahold of it.

my girl is running fresh rom for 3 days now and she hasn't complained to me yet. It is extremely stable.

I think its pretty much bout choice and what works for u.. I mean some like rom a some like rom b..etc.. but like i said fresh is a good place to start. then u can branch out and start trying out others..

but as always if u have your hero the way u like it and the rom u like nandroid that puppy..that way if u flash a new rom etc and u dont like it.. u can go back with 2 clicks.lol

My biggest fear of going to 2.1 is loosing my warrenty. I have not flashed yet, but I used Nandroid to make a backup of my original Factory ROM. If I don't like 2.1 or need to take the phone in for repair, can I use Nandroid to flash back to the Factory ROM I have saved?
