Charger/Screen Problems
I know the Hero touch screen can act funny with 3rd party chargers, and I usually use those just to charge the Hero to max without actually using it on AC power.
Lately, I have been having a lot of trouble with the touch screen. To the point where (right after flashing Fresh 2.0d) I had to turn the phone off (pull battery) and reboot it to get the touch screen to respond properly (where normally turning the screen off and on a few times after unplugging does the trick). This was using my charger from my old Touch Pro. The charger that came with the Hero is still in the wrapper in the box, because from what I could tell, its the same exact charger as I had for my Touch Pro. Is that true? Are these issues a problem with my phone that I should have checked out or will using the Hero charger make a difference? |
Re: Charger/Screen Problems
I don't ever use the stock(charger that came in the box) unless I am in bed. I use my TP2 charger in the living room, I use the USB Cable from one of my external Hard Drives when I plug it into the computer, and the charger I keep in my classroom is my Diamond plug in charger with another random USB cord plugged into it that I had lying around the house. I have no issues with any of that.

Re: Charger/Screen Problems
Hmm.. Im considering flashing back to stock and taking it into a Sprint store. Its not a huge issue but it does get very annoying, and if they are gonna give me a new one for the problem... well why not.

Re: Charger/Screen Problems
We had the same problems with the screen...On screen #3 now. See my thread on the first page. Good luck. :) We used the hero charger that came with the phone and the problem still presented itself. I don't think it's a charger issue.

Besides that one time right after flashing Fresh 2.0d, my issue has resolved itself within a half a minute. The deciding factor: My fathers Blackberry Curve randomly stopped playing ringtones today, so Ill flash to stock, unroot and take mine in with his. Bye bye Fresh 2.0d for now! |
Re: Charger/Screen Problems
UPDATE: I unrooted, flashed to stock, and took it into the Sprint Store. The guy switched out the Touchscreen, and the Hero is working perfect.
