Facebook Sync not working HELP!!!
 

I'm currently using Fresh 2.0d quite happily, but my Facebook Sync has stopped working after flashing one of the initial 2.0 based roms (I cant remember which one I did first). The problem persists across all roms I've flashed since 2.0 or going back and flashing a 1.5 based rom, and after hard resets and multiple re-flashes. The only thing I haven't tried is loading a really old nandroid backup that had it working and then flashing back to Fresh 2.0d.

If I flashed back to a older nandroid backup could that restore it? I was thinking to try that then once flashed back to the old backup wipe it again and then flash Fresh 2.0d again at which point I was hoping I could flash my nandroid of fresh 2.0d to restore my settings but would that also restore the messed up FB sync?

Any suggestions? I'm really sick of wiping my device and reinstalling/ setting everything up.

I may have to just wait until the official 2.1 comes out to fix it :(

PS. it also wont connect to the kitchen for some reason either

Ok well at least I'm not alone I was starting to think it was just me after 60+ views and no responses.

Have u tried all the things i listed above also?

what worked for me was.. nandroid back to a working fresh 1.1 then wipe.. then installed fresh 2.0d.. and i havent had a single issue with anything on the rom.. it all works perfectly..

wow i just reach post number 666!!!! gonna go buy a lotto ticket..lol

Hmmm see I tried flashing Fresh 1.1 but didnt do an old Nandroid so I can try that. my only thing is I dont feel like/have the time right now to redo all my settings/ apps. Do you think that if I do that whole process but then after reinstalling Fresh 2.0d I flash my current Nandroid of 2.0d w/ my settings in place that it will mess the FB sync up again?

That might be a hit or miss...but i see your frustration..being i dont have alot of time either to keep messing with this and that..

just try the nandroid back to a working fresh 1.1,, then wipe then re-install fresh 2.0d and see what happens..if everything works.. awesome.. now do another nandroid of your current rom.. and try to nandroid back to your prev one that did have facebook working right and see. if it dont then u can go back..etc..

for me its all bout trying things out..lol but again that takes time..hope that helps alittle.

Yeah I've invested too much time already lol but I'll give it a try maybe tomorrow when I get a chance. Its just weird to me that flashing Fresh 1.1 and wiping and then flashing 2.0d didn't work the first time but who knows. Thanks a lot for your suggestions I'll post my results as soon as i get a chance.

I found that loading the new Facebook for Android helped sync mine. After a few hours all 800 friends where showing in sync.

Cool I'll give it a try did u just open the app and log on or is there a newer version you had to install?

If I remember correctly, after I flashed Fresh 2.0d this weekend, I opened the Facebook widget and logged in. I was then prompted a few minutes later for a Facebook update from the Market, which I immediately installed.

I have not had any sync issues with FB since I flashed on Friday night.
