go to this site and enter the commands as listed into your pc's terminal. you have to have the android sdk installed. im posting this becuase i see soo many noobs wanting to learn how to root. this isn't the easiest method but it worked for me and this is the only way i use. makes sure your phone is connected via the usb cable and not in usb storage mode either!

If they don't read the stickies, then they deserve to have to google this shit on their own. That is what the stickies are for and why like 10 of us have a link to the sticky in our signature.

your guides were very good, i read through them a few times and the root was super simple and so was the rom flash but i do feel like a dud for missing that 1 step and bricking it but lesson learned...ALWAYS read!
