SPB Back-Up with Hero/Android
Okay, I am completely ignorant of Hero/Android tweaks. I myself have a TP2 and have always used WinMo. I got my girlfriend a Hero and am trying to learn some basics.
On my TP2 I have SPB Back-Up to save settings, data, etc. Can I use this program the same way on Android, i.e. install it to the SD card and back-up phone info? I'm going to try it this weekend but figured I'd ask before I wasted time. |
Re: SPB Back-Up with Hero/Android
I don't think that would work. I would however, suggest using sprite migrate its still free and works beautifully.

Re: SPB Back-Up with Hero/Android
okay what you have to do is root your phone and then do a nandriod back-up frm boot screen.. after whenever you want it back to normal you do a nandriod restore.. way easier than spb back up on winmo..

Re: SPB Back-Up with Hero/Android
I'm in the same position as the OP, my Touch Pro screen died on me over the weekend here. Took it to the Sprint store this morning and came home with the Hero. I have a SPB backup file on my sd card from the Pro, but no way to load it onto the Hero.

Re: SPB Back-Up with Hero/Android
If you bought spb backup, it should have come with an unpacking tool (http://spb.com/products/backup/unpack.html). From there you can extract to vcard files, and load them into your google contacts. then you can sync it from there. there could be an easier way, but i dont know it.
