Why did I buy this HTC Hero when these NEW phones will be released soon?
 

I am seriously starting to hate sprint. They are BSing about the hero update to 2.0, and all we have now is 1.5 for christs sake?!?!? I miss my TP keyboard and stylus, but I do like a lot of the features on the hero like STABLILTY and it actually works as a phone and not locking up when you try to s2answer on winmo.

I am considering a frankenstein swap,:twisted: ie, put the hero's guts inside my TP's case. I dont think it would work but anything is possible...

Return it before 30 days. Then keep waiting for the next best phone. Damn it why did I buy this 2009 Honda? There will ALWAYS be a better phone,car,computer,washing machine,jetski,gaming console,stereo,iPod,zune,video format,georgeforeman grill just around the corner.

well 2.1 is coming so either u wait it out and enjoy your hero or go back to the tp.. very simple dont ya think?

sprint is always slow to update things..like verizon.. I could care less bout 2.1 right now. ( while it would be nice ) I have co-pilot for gps. and all the programs basicly i used on wm.. so im content atm.. the only thing im missing is the seidio 3500 mAh battery. Which im bout to order.lol

I'm guessing the problem is that you payed a lot of attention to MWC this last week. Thing to keep in mind is that MWC is just a trade show when the manufacturers start showing things off. Most of those phones won't even hit Europe for a few months and then come to the US market because it is always a little bit behind. What I do is don't think that, MWC is just a peek of what's coming and my recent purchase, my Hero outdated already because by the time its replacement comes, the Hero will be a year old, so don't worry about what was shown off, the Hero will be current for a while
As for that Sprint update, Sprint and HTC to need to get it into gear but at least now we know why they're dragging their feet, we should be getting 2.1 and the updated Sense

Thanks for the response, that is what I looking for, some reassurance about the Hero. I check phonescoop alot and saw those upcoming phones and thought I would post em up for all to see. I will be patient about the update, those phones could be months and months away like you said. Isnt the Nexus having some issues right now anyway?

I really just want an android version of fingerboard, lol.
