rooting with windows 7

anyone having problems rooting or using the fresh pre-kitchen with windows 7? I just updated to 7 and can't get the kitchen to find my device. I have uninstalled my Hero drivers and reinstalled them, uninstalled and reinstalled the fresh pre-kitchen.. I don't know what else to do...

So essentially windows 7 isn't recognizing your device. Do a search of the Hero forum there are few threads.

Just type in windows 7 in the search thing and select the Hero forum.

I'll be nice and point you in the right direction. Check out my post in this link. If that doesn't work try what others have posted.

Yeah, I had similar problems. I had to use Vista drivers.

I got mine to work by downloading and installing PDAnet to my pc. I am using Windows 7 ultimate. I believe it contained the right drivers....and I had to uninstall HTC sync.
