Having Problems with Sprint Navigation

I just got the Hero and so far I really like it. The only problem I am currently having is that my Sprint Nav isn't working and it keeps saying Move to an open area and it keeps saying that no matter where I am outside or inside. My husbands Hero is having the same problem.. any way around this?

Ok, just making sure, do you have your GPS on? Meaning through your settings.

Good question, where do I go to check if it's on or not?

Menu>Settings>My Location Services>Enable GPS satellites. You can also press the + sign on your bottom bar then select htc widget>settings>gps widget adn it will put a switch on your home screen.

Hmmm... I am at a loss then. Have you tried any other services that use gps to see if they lock on? You could try Google maps or WAZE is a free GPS program in the market.

I am about to go on break. Ill try my sprint nav and see what happens. I did read an article yesterday that recent solar flares from the son could cause gps issues. Im not pulling your leg either. http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/10/s...h-gps-signals/

Sprint Navigation uses the public Internet to access its servers for mapping, routing, and search services from your device.

Is your internet on when using Sprint Navigation?

There's no way Sprint Nav worked without internet.
