how do i get all audio through bluetooth earpiece? (thread title change)
 

I have been searching for a way to get my phones audio to go through my bluetooth earpiece and the only promising idea I have come across us btaudio.cab but does it work on the hero? I downloaded directly to phone but astro file manager will not open the cab.

well .cab is windows mobile so its not going to work on the hero but from what I know is the device can but seems to have a problem caused by android 1.5 I wish I could help a little more as I would like to know since i have a BT radio and pandora would come in good handy when my iPod is dead

You are correct. 1.5 currently doesnt support every BT device out right now. That is why we are so antsy to get 2.1, it is supposed to have more BT support.

I have a bt earpiece that works with 1.5 and my phone calls come through the earpiece but how do I get all audio to come through the earpiece? Almost seems like a profile needs to be added to the Bluetooth options tab.

Both bluetooth and phone must be a2dp compatible. Most phones are now, not all BT are, unfortunately. :(

The cab is for windows phones. Worked great!...when i had a TP. I totally miss it on the droid. When I'm riding bike i don't need a full headset to listen to my podcasts, there all talk anyway.

To make all your audio go to your BT earpiece just open the dialer, press ** and then Call. It will stop if you take or make a call. To stop it yourself, press ** and Call again.
