Mobile Internet useage question

I'm wondering if there is an app or setting I can use that will have Mobile Internet turned off and just turn it on when an app needs it ,then close respectively. Not have to turn it on and off manually or use a mobile inter. widget on off. I still want apps to update (weather, facebook, etc ) but not just keep the mobile internet turned on the entire time. I'm trying to save speed and battery.

It does turn on and off automatically. Don't worry about it.

Wow. I have no idea what could be going on. Calls, WiFi, Bluetooth will kill your battery. If you are always on the phone or WiFi that could be your problem.

Side Note: 2000th post hahaha

I kill my battery with my blue tooth head set... I wish they would make it so it turned on when a call came across and turned off once the call was finished. I know I read somewhere that some company was working on it. I guess in the meantime I can dream... lol.
