Seriously considering switching, but...Swype?
I really only have one thing keeping me from switching and that is the lack of keyboard. I'm pretty sure I would have no problem with the soft keyboard if I could have Swype but I thought I read that they haven't released a version for the Hero? Is that true or is there a modified version or alternative that works just as well?

Re: Seriously considering switching, but...Swype?
theres an app just like swype for android, but seriously after u fine tune the keyboard with the calibration tool... you'll type just like you would if you had a keyboard, I swaped from the tp2, and still have my TP2, and can, but still wont go back even for its keyboard.
also swype says that they will be making an android version, but the one thats already here is just the same. |
Re: Seriously considering switching, but...Swype?
Thanks for the info! I understand that the keyboard is adjustable...just don't like "tapping" buttons all the time....I prefer simplicity of Swype.

Shapewriter is in the market. Works on hero and Eris.

Anywho, looks like I'm gonna give the Hero a try. I like to try new things and haven't the slightest clue about this rooting/flashing on Android...so it'd give me a reason to learn and figure everything out. Thanks again guys! |
