wIFI TEthering isnt working
 

I have a htc hero rooted and for some reason the wifi tethering isnt working anymore i keep getting an error saying .... The application wireless tether for rooted user ( process andriod.tether) has stopped unexpected,y. please try again and than it force closes by the way im using Fresh room 1.1 but im gettng alot of force close on some app like Astro but the wifi tetering bothers me the most

Uninstall Astro and WiFi tether. Google WiFi tether and reinstall it. Then install Astro from the Market.

Ok I tried this and it didn't solve my problem :( after i hit start tethering, it goes to the screen where at the top it says SU REQUEST but the rest stays black.. idont see any buttons and it just stays at that screen..

SU permissions has the problem then. Reinstall that.

I had a similar question, I have a stock ROM, it's rooted but when I turn on Wireless Tether, my MacBook Pro connects to it but it won't send the data through and I never can see the laptop in the list of connected devices in Wireless Tether...

Do I need to install SU Permissions? If so, where can I find that?

for me when i install a room wit wifi tether n it dont work i usually go back in to recovery.
wipe all data factory settings
n reflash the room n it works :)

Stock Rom never worked for me. You need to give it SU permissions, but I suggest trying the 1.7 pre maybe if you don't flash.

Ah ha! I found the answer well I already forgot where lol but usb debugging must be checked on! Lol idky
