WIFI file transfering... no more usb!!!
lets say your on ppcgeeks and godzon uploads a new taskbar and you want it... instead of connecting your usb and then mounting your drive and all that... just start swiFTP on your hero, and open filezilla.... by the time you do these two things your file will be downloaded... then just drag and drop and reboot to flash zip.. ya dig!?
filezilla (on pc [free]) + swiFTP (on android [free]) = wifi file transfering... for those interested in doing this... |
Re: WIFI file transfering... no more usb!!!
Do you or anybody know a way to map a network drive? Like on one of the file explorers that are out there that would be very convenient

Re: WIFI file transfering... no more usb!!!
i found it very easy.... once you start swiFTP, it displays all the info you need to connect to your phone.... the port and IP. you assign your own username and password... just plug that into filezilla and click QUICKCONNECT = achievment unlocked

This is a great idea, I had been thinking about this before. Could possibly use SCP with my Media Server that would be cash.

Re: WIFI file transfering... no more usb!!!
Or you could just get EStrong's File Explorer (or any other that supports network shares) and save all of your Hero related files to a shared folder on your computer then map that shared folder with your file explorer on your Hero. After the initial setup of sharing the folder and mapping the share on your device it's quite easy.
