Looking for something similar to pdareach

hello all, first I just purchased the htc hero from sprint, and coming from the Treop 700p, I'm quite accustomed to using the pdareach software so that I can monitor my phone from one of my monitors. Is there such a software out for the hero?

Yes there are a few...

Droid Explorer has screencast.
Dazzboard can hook it up through iTunes, more of an activesync type thing though.
Motorola phone explorer is another one that's kind of like this. It allows you to connect through your browser and use SMS from your computer.

thanks, now I looked into the droid explorer, but do these apps require the phone to be "rooted"? like I said I'm new to anything outside of the palm realm.
thanks again.

Yes you will need to root for droid explorer. The others I don't think you will.

Damn, droid explorer is exactly what I've been waiting for... but of course, they have a known issue with Vista64.

Bah.. I get to wait while they figure out how to fix the issue.
