Visual Voicemail Question
 

Where are the visual voicemail messages stored on my Hero? I need to pull some messages and save them and I don't want them on my phone.

I checked under manage programs, under settings, and I didn't even see voicemail listed there. I did a search for "mail" in the ASTRO file manager, and nothing related to voicemail came up. Went to voicemail, and hit menu, and nothing under that menu gives any clues. I tried, but sorry I couldn't be of any help.

i don't think voicemails are saved on the phone. there are from the phone company.

Wel they have to be saved on your phone right? I mean as soon as you hit the visual VM button, they auto start playing. A phone company would not allow access that fast IMO...

I'm not sure where they are stored, but you could just forward them to your email. They come as wav files.

These voicemails are sent to the phone. I learned this yesterday. I live in an area with no cell service, yet I was able to listen to my e-mails when I got home after being where there was coverage.

As to where they'ye stored on the phone, I have no idea.

Is it possible to store them within the app itself?

I use Google Voice. Voice mail and Text are stored on the Googlevoice site. You can play them from your phone or on the GV site.

You are asking about "visual voicemail". Correct? Are you using the YouMail site & app?
