Anyone know why I have a yellow smiley face alert in my status bar of my HTC Hero?

You launched the HTC IM application and logged into AIM/WindowsLive/Yahoo?

Thats when i see a smiley face up there....

It should be your Yahoo Messenger. MSN Messenger give a green silhouette of a person. Don't know about AOL IM, who uses AOL anymore??

All IM programs are disabled...icon still there...doesn't anyone know how to remove icon?

Did you restart your phone? Do you have your IM set to automatically sign you in?

Turned phone off...restarted and icon disappeared once IM's disabled... thanks.

So you turn on your Yahoo IM, then can't figure out why you get an alert, and before you do any research, you come here to ask a question that my son could have figured out, and get mad because I laughed at you...? Ha ha

Uh'um I hereby apologize to Dhoff56 for making fun of his inability to understand his alerts on his Hero. Sorry dhoff, I hope I didn't hurt your feelings. HUG!!!
