Here is an interesting app I found, its an iPhone, Android, Nokia mobile application that allows you to access your favorite online forums with iPhone native interface. Tapatalk provides long list of features for super fast forum access. A free plug-in is provided to forum owner. Tapatalk iPhone has two version - a free version "Tapatalk RO" and a paid version "Tapatalk". Tapatalk also support Android and Nokia.

Disappointingly, xda is not available on this app. The largest cell phone development website ever, and there is no mobile version....

I am going to take full credit for PPCG being on it. I have installed on my forum (which is a clan forum for an iPhone game) when they wanted a iPhone native interface. Android is in beta and so is WM (though WM is not public). I threw mindfrost82 a line. It is free for the server admin, user gets hit with a $3 charge. One time charge. Enjoy everyone!

Just so you know, when the final version comes out, the free version will be killed.

Also, Blackberry just went into public beta.

If they follow what they normally do, it will be. But since they do charge for their app, I think they may make you delete/redownload it.

I can almost promise that they will charge.

Tell you guys what, I will send a message to winter and ask him then report back!

anyone by chance know where to find or how to get at the apk for this program? i tried the backup to sd card method through Astro, but its marked "private" so it won't back up, also checked their website to see if they offer a direct download and of course they don't

The apk will be in the app/private on your device. I don't have it, but you can get it with root manager.

They are going to make it as hard as possible to back-up so that a user can't save a beta copy and then reload it / distribute it when final release comes around.

OK, so I spoke to winter (sorry it took me so long to respond here....)

The price has not yet been finalized.I told him he would get a lot more downloads if it was $1 instead of $3. I offered him a idea that I think he will take up that wil give PPCGeekers a discount on it....provided that many buy.

So that being said, who would buy it if it was $3 and who would if it was $1?

Also, final is expected to be out in about 1 month....

I would actually pay 3 if I could find more of my forums on it. I'm sure it isn't the fault of the creator but I'd pay 3 or even 5 if I could get all of my forums on it.

Has trouble messaging, I can't send a pm. Also the screen likes to go away while I'm typing, no idea why haha. If it had ability to insert links and open 2 threads at a time it would b stronger.

btw, I do think (from what winter told me...) that this is the last beta for android. After which, beat users MIGHT (he didn't tell me for sure) get it for $1 and regular users for $3.

So beta it up now...

EDIT:

i missed this until now, they do have a lite version. It is called "read-only" and can only be used to read posts, not reply.

For a short wile tapatalk was $1 (66% off), but now they are just going with it. Regular price, adding features as they go.
