EMERGENCY.... Need 1.56.651 Complete Stock
 

I have rooted my Hero on 1.5.2 and it came with 1.56.651 updated ROM. I need to go back to complete stock (with no root) because it has started to act really laggy. No matter how many times I hard reset, wipe, or do anything, the phone is still really really really laggy (way before I rooted it). I have gone back to the stock ROM but I want to go back to just complete stock, and the 1.29 RUU doesn't work because I get Bootlader Error 140. Can anyone help me? I'm still within in my 30 days at Best Buy, but didn't want to take it back unless it was stock. I don't just want to load the stock ROM, because I do that with the nand restore. When I restore it to the stock image, it still lags just as bad and just acts weird (awake time always high, etc...).

Having you tried running the stock RUU after you've booted up in fast boot mode? This fixes a lot of issues.

Yea. His problem is that his came with 1.56 which results in this problem: http://geekfor.me/news/sprint-ruu-fails/

I could make a fake-RUU that will take it back to stock. I had already done so but I realized there were some issues with it so I pulled the download and I haven't fixed them. If you can hold out for a day or two I'll get you what you need.

what I was actually trying to do in the meantime is just extract the executable file and save all the files in it to a zip and then run it from Recovery....will that work?

yea, i can wait (would have to wait a day to get to best buy again anyway). how would you do that? just curious....(i am trying to learn as much about programming and hacking as possible lol)

No, that wouldn't work. It would be lacking an update script and a signature.

Pretty much by doing what you said above but making it a valid update.zip. ;)

i see....smooth lol. anyway,....i just flashed this fresh 1.0, and so far things seem a little better.....may have found a temporary fix.......lol. but just to be sure...i'm going to try to flash the 1.29 again from this rom (but these i-phone like animations are driving me insane....they're just that cool). i read on xda that someone did this and it worked for them.
