Text message issue
 

When I receive a text and the screen is off, the phone vibrates, but the notification sound does not play. When I turn the screen on, the sound immediately plays. I am on fresh 0.6 and using the stock mms app.

Yeah this happens for me too. The led will flash but no sound until I turn the screen on. It happens with twitdroid too. I have no idea what's wrong though

Mine is hit or miss. Mainly does it when I'm watching. If I give it about 30 seconds it will fire a sound. It got a little better with .7 patched. Post it in flipz forum about fresh and see if he has a solution. If not, at least the vibe works haha.

I'm still running the stock 1.56.651.2 rom, although rooted and modified a bit and I don't have this problem. Must be something with the Fresh Rom I'm guessing.

As far as I can tell it appears to have something to do with the vibrate option. I tested this for a good while and with vibrate on I would get the delay off and on randomly. When I turned vibrate off the notification sound would play immediately after the LED indicator started to blink. Still testing to make sure but so far it seems to have fixed the delay or in my case sometimes the complete absence of the notification sound.

I get maybe a 5 second delay with Fresh 1.0. This is tolerable.

I found that with a shorter text tone I get less of a delay. I switched it to silent and it had NO delay Woot!! Hahahaha.
