GPS Problems

My GPS is not locking properly. It is close....but I am on the outside edge of the triangulated circle. when i run google maps is it natively using my cell phone signal to triangulate my position? do i need to prime the gps? maybe their is a gps button i can switch on like wifi?

Are you indoors when using GPS? I hear its more accurate outside.

Turn on GPS in location settings.

Gps isn't locking. Give more time, n try diff program 2 c if it works.

What program do you suggest?

Is 45 minutes considered enough time to get a lock? I just left the phone on the bed of my truck while I changed the front rotors...still on the outside edge of the blue bubble.

My HTC Mogul was pinpoint accurate to within what I would consider a couple feet. I could easily see which lane I was driving in if zoomed enough. Why cant I get this accuracy with the Hero? Are others Hero's this accurate?

I suggest Waze. 40 minutes is WAYYYY too long. Google maps gave me trouble at first too. I don't remember what I did to correct this. Waze is superior for sure anyway. A great app that can give you voice navigation for free!! It is also built off the users so it mirrors linux in that sense. Google maps is crapping on me right now too. Anyway, try waze and tell me what happens.

Haha yea, I know 45 mins is way to long. It was kind of a rhetorical question. I will install Waza and GPS my way over to Chipotle for lunch. I'll let you know how it works when I get back.

Yea, I was agreeing, should have put 4 minutes is wayyy too long. It should be somewhere around 30 seconds. I get locks in 15 in my house with waze everytime.
