Hero protection

Okay I just ordered my hero from sprint. My next item is protection for it. What is the best recommended case for it that will clip on your belt? What is the best recommended screen protector that doesn't interfere with the "touch" part of operating the touchscreen? Please no flames. Just post what you are using, where you can get it, and why you like i

I have been looking at this screen protector:

And this case:

I also have a large strip that I had purchased from Best Skins ever that I used part of for my mp4 player and there is enough to cover the screen.

Re: Hero protection

dont get those mirror screens from handhelditems. I got one for my hero and my girlfriends hero and they REALLY reduce the sensitivity of the screen, ESPECIALLY around the edges. I put that screen protector on as soon as I opened my box, before even turning the hero on for the first time. And after about a week of thinking my heros screen was defective because it was not as sensitive as my girlfriends (had not put hers on at this time) i finally took the screen off and my heros screen is great now. My girlfriend had hers on for about 2 hours and took it off as well because they just suck. We now are not using any type of screen protectors on our phones and probably wont.

Hey Fox, i got the " fellowes universal" screen protect and it works great..no problems at all.. the install is easy cause the backing on the protector has a grid which allows you perfect positioning on the device your using it on...try it..

Thanks for the suggestion man, will look into those, I see they are on amazon for 12 bucks. Going without a screen protector is like unprotected sex, the screen feels so good but i'm afraid to scratch it up :laughing6:

I have used the fellowes protectors on mp3 players and they are easy to cut and easy to install. I may end up going with another bodyguardz as it has really paid for itself on the touch pro that I have.

I don't really think s glass screen is gonna get scratched as easy as a plastic screen.

I have noticed that boxwave has an aluminum case called armor but it is listed under the htc hero and not the sprint hero. Anyone know if it will work with the sprint hero?

That's what I thought till I put my phone in the same pocket as my keys last night and now I got mini scratches on it. I'm PISSED! Need to get one ASAP!

I went the cheap route. Reused my diamonds rubber casing =D the charging port matches up and the camera hole also. It's a tight fit but it works for now until something better comes out :)

It figures. I was hoping to find an aluminum case for this things. Those aluminum cases have really paid for themselves in the past for me.

Re: Hero protection

Finally picked up my Hero this weekend. Before buying it, I ordered a hard rubber case for it off of eBay and it turned out great. Only $5.99 and I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality. I picked hard rubber instead of silicone since silicone usually picks up a lot of dust. We'll see how this works out.

Now this morning, I ordered some screen protectors. In the past, I've always ordered Zagg or Invisible Shield. They work well, but are a bit more expensive. So, I thought I'd give eBay another try. $3.99 for 5 free shipping. Apparently they're on sale for today, down from $9.99.

Better safe than sorry, right?

For most of my mobile phones (last three, Mogul, Pre and Hero) I've been getting:

BodyGuardz - whole device protection

Spring Lock Holster

I have one of those on my iPod Touch and it's awesome. Just picked up a Hero a couple hours ago and am about to order a full-body Zagg for it.

Re: Hero protection

I went with the zagg screen protector, which after I bought came out with full body wrap. So you have two options with that, also cant go wrong with zaggs lifetime warentee. I have a hard plastic rubberish case that locks around the phone that has a nob on the back of the case that hooks into the little clip that i put on my belt.

I went ahead and got one the rubberized snap cases. It works well. I have ordered the bodyguardz as well. I had good experience with it on the TP.

Re: Hero protection

Has anyone heard of the SkyTouch screen protectors. There are some in a store at the local mall and they claim to reduce fingerprints, glare, and dust and offer scratch resistance. The salesperson there said they can be washed and used over again and that they don't leave air bubbles. Almost sounds too good to be true so I was wondering if anyone here was familiar with it.

I currently have bodyguardz on my screen. I was just wondering about the SkyTouch protectors and whether or not they were what they claimed to be.
