Wifi and Gprs problems

Hey,I'm new. I have a dopod 838 pro. My wifi works fine without my sim card install. With the sim card in and after manual setting for gprs,mms I cannot connect to my wifi. It want to connect through gprs. Is there a way to give wifi first priority for internet. My phone is using WM6 and I am in indonesia.
