Leaving the registry settings there should not hurt anything if all you wish to do is remove the files to attempt a reinstall. The fact that Palm Messaging isn't listed in your Remove Programs list means there was a bad install at some point. If you had installed over a previous install the cab would have warned you that there was a previous version that it will need to uninstall first. Not sure how you got it into that state.

If you haven't already hard reset I would suggest that you remove the files that were installed and attempt a reinstalled.

Even if you do manage to delete most of the files its gonna leave your PPC in a major mess! The time it takes to setup your PPC is from a Hard Reset is minimal to all the work you'll have to do to get it to work from where you are. I suggest a Hard Reset then when your happy with your entire setup a Backup and you'll never have to worry again.

digitalfx 11-20-2006 08:17 PM

Yes, I just uninstalled the app and its still there....I still have threaded sms???????

Wideawake 11-20-2006 08:24 PM

and u deleted the messaging.exe? if so did u soft reset? if yes then if its still on the today that maybe due to reg entires....
