HD2 on Verizon? Possible?
I know the HD2 is one of THE MOST capable windows mobile devices.. android, possible windows phone 7 porting, etc..... i was offered one for sale today and wanted to know, besides the abundance of tweaking fun, is it wise to buy it? considering me being on Verizon's network. is it possible to make it verizon compatible?

Re: HD2 on Verizon? Possible?
sorry, but not possible.
VZW and sprint are on CDMA technology and do not use SIM cards, ATT and Tmobile are on GSM technology and do use SIM cards. The Phones on GSM cannot be used on CDMA nor vice-versa. unless you get on tmo or att it can't happen. |

Re: HD2 on Verizon? Possible?
I read somewhere that you can get an unlocked one and put a Verizon SIM card in and it would work on Verizon. Is that true? I would love to have this phone on Verizon. I wish CDMA/GSM phones were interchangeable....

Actually, some phones from Sprint like touch pro 2 uses SIM card and have international use feature. Maybe you should call verizon first and find out.

Re: HD2 on Verizon? Possible?
Yeah its impossible . HD2 only supports GSM frequencies . Speaking of Frequencies , from my personal experience CDMA frequencies tend to travel accross a further distance and penatrate through mountains and walls while GSM are mainly short , is this true ?
