i really need help getting this on at&t..

hello,
i have seen that people have the HD2 on at&t, but i havent found how to get it on at&t myself.
i called at&t and they said that the unlock code couldnt be found. i have searched through ppcgeeks, xda, google, and a few other places, but the only thing i came up with was buying a code from a website. i suppose i could do that, but i need to know before i buy one, if the sim can be unlocked via other methods?

thank you

AFAIK the sim unlocker will be the only way to do this, but it costs money tho. and FYI AT&T sucks, ur better off just switching to TMobile

dude,

just call tmobile, if you are not under contract they will give you an unlock code for free.

t-mobile will give you the unlock code if you have had your account more than 60 days. You just call 611 and ask for it then they submit a request and you will get it sent to your email a few days later.

thanks for the reply everyone. i ended up just buying a code, as angry as i was about doing it, i couldnt wait days for a reply, because it was the only phone i had, and i needed it to work. ill keep in mind for the next time i need to unlock a phone to call the provider of the phone itself.

thanks again.

I hope you got the australian telestra version. It's the only hd2 that supports at&t 3g band.
Otherwise, I think you'll be very disappointed in the data speeds. (2g only)
