Why not just use a third party app like WAZE or google maps. They are both free.

yeah, that's why everyone says sprint has better plans, they include navi and tv.

you still have to pay for it through sprint... just figured in already or you can add for 10 bucks a month if not included in the plan

yeahI thought I saw something like that in the another thread
but iirc it's only a 60 day trial after that you'd have to pay

i was justed reading the manual, on page 46, it says it's free for 60 days and you pay if you don't cancel.

That's absolutely correct.

Sprint navigation and Sprint TV are NOT FREE, they are just bundled in the price for Sprint data plans. So Sprint might claim it to be free, but it's really not free at all.

With T-Mobile, I'm now paying LESS than I did with Sprint for the exact same plan. I never liked Sprint Navigation or Sprint TV, so I'm not paying for Telenav or MobiTV, which saves me money ;) :headbang: . I'm very glad that I have the choice with T-Mobile to pay or not pay for additional data services.

I already had Garmin Mobile XT and SBP TV. After being in a thread over on the T-Mobile forums about this and other GPS apps, I've picked up CoPilot Live 8 and I've found it's live traffic feature (part of its "Premium Live Services") gives better traffic incident reporting than Garmin or Telenav for the area I'm in, Chattanooga, TN. (Sprint Navigation is Telenav rebranded, but you all probably already know that.) Here in Chattanooga, neither Garmin or Telenav would EVER give any information about local traffic incidents, but CoPilot Live does.

I think Garmin Mobile XT gives better routing for the shortest time, but CoPilot has more up to date maps and better map updates. Plus the traffic information, so I'm mostly using CoPilot.

That's bull, Dash. I'd like to go to T-Mo for the HD2, but I'm conflicted about the pricing. You're not fairly comparing services. At Sprint, I get unlimited calling (to mobile phones) AND unlimited web, including Sprint Navigation, for $69.99.

To get a similar plan at T-Mo, I'll pay $59.99 for calling, plus $30.00 for web and then $9.99 for Telenav. That's thirty bucks more than Sprint. Am I wrong?
