2 questions from an iPhone 'convert'...

I know we have marketplace on winmo but i searched and can't find any app like iblacklist [auto call blocking to select contacts or groups] and the other is actually a stock option in the iphone to disable callerID sending at will with a switch in phone settings, NOT just by dialing *67

is there anything like those 2 things either available in marketplace or in any of the custom ROMs?

I don't really care about any of the other apps i had like I am t-pain  or the tons of dumb games [GH mobile on HD2 = :headbang:] but would really like to have at least those 2

Not sure about the blacklist app, but disabling caller ID is available as a setting in every WM phone. Go to Settings -> All Settings-> Personal -> Phone -> GSM/UMTS Services -> Caller ID

As a winmo user I can tell you that the only thing I liked about the iPhone was the apps. Apps are certainly not a strength of WM. I have never even heard of those apps or their conterparts for WM. I will keep an eye out now though.

thanks!

lol it was too buried and had to go in under "all settings" from the main settings tab

and actually it does beat the iphone option because you have the choice to only block sending to unknown numbers but will still send the CID to your contacts , will have to see if there's a possibility to make that a quicklink shortcut because even though i like blocking on almost all calls out a few places, like restaurants, won't accept blocked calls so i'd like to be able to get to it quick

i don't REALLY care about apps

just that by browsing WMM I didn't find anything, it's not hard to copy over a CAB and run the install, just that in some quick searching different winmo forums i haven't seen something like the blacklist app available for us :-\

Phone - Menu - Options - Call barring - then select which group you want it blocked for. That's the best stock option but I know there are other 3rd party apps that can allow much finer control. I would search in the WM software sub forum. I'll try and find something for you.

EDIT: Try this one: http://www.mobiion.com/magicall.html

thanks for the reply

but the call barring option in the phone only blocks ALL incoming or outgoing, no option to block per group or by individual contacts

:dontknow: unless winmo can do that but it's just not enabled in our stock ROM

saw the app you linked and  will have to keep it in mind in case i can't find something soon, even though iblacklist on iphone is free and magicall is $25
